STG - SWX Transaction Gateway / integration in RGR - RTradeLink

In July 2003, the swiss stock exchange introduced a project which aim is a simplified technical connection to the SWX and virt-x stock exchanges. The proposed new connection via the FIX protocol and a network provider rather than the TS(X) Gateway and Server

The following functionality will be supported:

• The SWX member can issue an order and receives a confirmation.
• Partical fills of orders will be delivered
• The completion of an order will be delivered

Compared to the available solution the following significant restrictions will apply:

• The Swiss stock exchange no longer provides a trader GUI.
• The type "Unreleased order" will no longer be supported
• The type "Conditional order" will no longer be supported
• No market data (Feed) will be supplied
• No basis data will be supplied (eg instrument data)

Our product RTradeLink provides the ideal solution despite the limitation of STG described above, it is still possible to achive the same functionality as the current TS(X) connection.
The combination STG-RTradeLink is the efficient alternative to TS(X)

RTradeLink provides the following additional functionality to order routing systems like STG

• A dealer GUI for order input
• Integration of Market data (feed) and base data from external vendors (eg Reuters)
• Own internal order book for local order management
• Interface to existing systems such as Back office, Middle office and Front office

The architecture of RTradeLink already provides an integration of order routing systems via FIX protocol.
For example, a Reuters Inter Trade Direct (IOE/RITD electronic link to numerous stock exchanges and brokers) is already integrated.
