The hub for trading stocks efficently
RTradeLink is a flexible platform to trade stocks at one
or more exchanges. The platform consists of the following parts:
- Front End (Trading user Interface)
- Order routing
- Order management
- Back office adapter
- IOE/RITD Adapter (Reuters interface to various stock exchanges)
- FIX – Adapter
- Excel – Adapter for the integration of Excel applications (with automated
data acquisition)
Exchanges currently fully integrated are SWX, virt-x and additional stock
exchanges via reuters IOE/RITD. The integration for Eurex and Xetra in the Front
End is under construction. With RTradeLink it is possible to connect to other order routing
systems via FIX adapter or an individual interface. Such installations have
been running for a considerable amount of time already. In particular, RTradeLink
provides an interface component, that allows a real-time link to the CICS environment
on IBM Mainframe.
The trader stations are connected to a local server, which communicates with
the various stock exchange systems. The local server provides the Front End
with market information (Feed service) and administrates the orders entered
(transaction service). The Ffront End is scalable and can b specifically configured,
and is hence ideal for traders as well as sales and customer advisors.
The most important arguments for RTradeLink:
- Proved operation: The system has been successfully in operation
at numerous customers in various configurations for a considerable time period.
- An integrated solution for numerous stock exchanges: Various
instruments from different exchanges can displayed simultaneously in the same
view of the trader interface.
- Secure trading transactions: The transaction service supervises
the progress of the stock trade from the order entry through to the delivery
of the resulting trades to the Back office system. This service guarantees
the transfer of the relevant datra between all components of RTradeLink. This
service also controls the restart behaviour after a disruption eg connection
broken.
- Efficient handling of trade orders: The desired instrument
is selected eg by double click in a Market Overview and a default order entry
window appears. Now, only the trade relevant data has to be provided before
with one click, the order is sent to the desired exchange system.
- Complete and up-to-date summary: The folder technique used
allows a separation of the complete information into a easily comprehensible
parts, as well as the fast access between the various views.
- Individually configurable: Trough the flexible configuration
and the high scalability of the Front End, it can be used for a wide range
of operators. On one side, for traders with complete Market information, trough
to customer advisors with a more or less reduced information demand.
- Optimal Data Bandwidth:
The Feed service allows the individual feeding of data down to the level of
objects and fields between the components of RTradeLink. Hence, only the effectively
required data is transfered over the network
- Portability: The software for the trading interface has
been written in Java and is therefore platform independant. It currently runs
under UNIX, and Windows (XP, NT, 2000,....).
- Administrator Interface: For the secure and comfortable
administration of all RTradeLink components a separate Admin-GUI is available
